Unraveling the mystery of health frequencies !

We are living in a time of technological progress like never before. There are various ongoing advances in the fields of science and healthcare. This article is specifically about  the role of frequencies in health and disorders.

“What is frequency?” you may ask…

Frequency as the name suggests is the number of times a point on a wave passes a fixed reference point in one second. In science the term frequency is most often applied to waves, including light, sound and radio.

Let’s explore…..

The use of sound and light and electromagnetic waves in medicine is broad in application. The energy forms are classified as thermal (which produce heat) and non-thermal (does not produce heat). The effects of which vary according to the purpose for which they are being used.

Similar to the “specificity” seen in drugs (in that, a certain drug will target a set of receptors leading to a therapeutic effect), so too can frequency waves be configured in such a manner that leads to a specific effect(s).

These frequency waves have a great therapeutic and diagnostic value.

Therapeutic value! Interesting ? Read further..

You must have heard of electrotherapy before, frequencies are like a backbone to these electrotherapy modalities.

How do they work?

Can work in two ways to reduce pain

  1. Selectively stimulating certain ‘non-pain’ nerve fibers to send signals to the brain that block other nerve signals carrying pain messages.
  2. Stimulating the production of endorphins, natural pain-relieving hormones – your own built-in pain management system.

Furthermore…

There are certain traditional applications of these sound and light waves in the healing process by increasing the superficial to deep circulation and thus, reducing the pain perception.

Physical corrections aside, there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that psychological “auto correction” can be obtained using these waves. Also they are used as brainwave frequencies for increasing focus and concentration, assistance for tension headaches, memory, mild-anxiety and healing.

What about use in diagnosis then?

Frequency waves are used to examine nerve, muscle, heart and brain activity, examples are EEG, EMG, ECG, MRI, etc.

Sound wave (ultra-sonography) is employed extensively in obstetrics to examine the developing fetus and also in the detection of cancer in liver, kidney, pancreas and other organs.

Radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology is just starting to make inroads into healthcare. RFID could be used for a variety of applications, including tracking and matching blood for transfusions, pharmaceuticals, and combating the counterfeiting of medical products.

To recapitulate, although we can’t see frequencies with naked eyes or feel it, we can connect to it on cellular level for a salubrious life.
